RentHackr, Inc., http://renthackr.com, creates a place to see what current apartment renters are paying and a forecast of when apartments will become available. On RentHackr, renters help each other by anonymously sharing their apartment’s rent information with other members on the RentHackr map.
Renters join RentHackr by logging in with Facebook (nothing is posted or shared with Facebook), providing their current lease information (rent, address, type of apartment), and if they plan to move or stay.
RentHackr is the best place to see what apartments cost around you and wherever you want to live. It’s immediately more useful than popular listing sites for price transparency, sharing what real people are paying without any scam listings or inflated asking prices.
So much of finding the right apartment is being in the right place at the right time. RentHackr helps you find the right places and shows you when the right time to get them is.
RentHackr is working to deliver a service later in 2012 that will help renters discover, find, and score apartments in a new, collaborative marketplace.
